Abstract
Breast cancer (BC) is one of the leading cancer in the world, BC risk has been there for women of the middle age also, it is the malignant tumor. However, identifying BC in the early stage will save most of the women’s life. As there is an advancement in the technology research used Machine Learning (ML) algorithm Random Forest for ranking the feature, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Naïve Bayes (NB) supervised classifiers for selection of best optimized features and prediction of BC accuracy. The estimation of prediction accuracy has been done by using the dataset Wisconsin Breast Cancer Data from University of California Irvine (UCI) ML repository. To perform all these operation, Anaconda one of the open source distribution of Python has been used. The proposed work resulted in extemporize improvement in the NB and SVM classifier accuracy. The performance evaluation of the proposed model is estimated by using classification accuracy, confusion matrix, mean, standard deviation, variance, and root mean-squared error.
The experimental results shows that 70-30 data split will result in best accuracy. SVM acts as a feature optimizer of 12 best features with the result of 97.66% accuracy and improvement of 1.17% after feature reduction. NB results with feature optimizer 17 of best features with the result of 96.49% accuracy and improvement of 1.17% after feature reduction.
The study shows that proposal model works very effectively as compare to the existing models with respect to accuracy measures.

The current paper investigates the bioconvective third-grade nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic organisms with Copper-blood nanoparticles in permeable walls.
Design/methodology/approach
The equations governing the flow are solved by adopting the Adomian decomposition method.
Findings
The results show that the biconvection Peclet number decreases the density of motile microorganisms, and the Rayleigh number also decreases the velocity profile.
Practical implications
The present study can be applied to design the higher generation microsystems.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, no such investigation has been carried out in the literature.

Mergers and acquisitions (M&) are increasingly becoming a strategy of choice for companies attempting to achieve and sustain competitive advantage. However, not all M&As are a success. In this paper, we examine the three main reasons highlighted in the literature as major causes of M&A failure (clashing corporate cultures, absence of clear communication, and employee involvement) in three Indian pharmaceutical companies, and we analyze the role played by the HR function in addressing them. Also, we discuss the importance of gaining the commitment and focus of the workforce during the acquisition process through employee involvement.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to examine the relationship between organizational learning (OL) and technology through the lens of strategic factors and to ascertain future research directions.
Design/methodology/approach
The systematic literature review method was applied in three stages to the 76 articles obtained from Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar and EBSCO databases.
Findings
This research revealed the evolution of the role of OL in innovation, performance, knowledge management and technological adoption and showcases a detailed conceptual model relating technology outcomes (technological innovation and capabilities) to OL outcomes (technology absorptive capacity, technological proactivity, as well as information technology [IT] and organization process alignment).
Research limitations/implications
This review includes articles mainly in English and excludes conference proceedings.
Practical implications
This research attempts to guide managers and policymakers to foster an organizational culture conducive to technological adoption and OL. It helps organizations develop strategies for new product development, including strategic alliances and strategic leadership.
Originality/value
This review formalizes the linkages between technological absorptive capacity, technological proactivity and IT with technological innovation and capabilities. It identifies research gaps and elucidates future research directions.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the erosion performance of high velocity oxy fuel- (HVOF) sprayed Al2O3–Cr2O3 composite coatings under silt slurry conditions.
Design/methodology/approach
The requisite HVOF composite coatings has been deposited on the stainless steel substrate (SS-304). The slurry erosion pot tester of make Ducom was used for conducting the silt slurry erosion tests on the required substrates. The comprehensive experiments were conducted at different particle size of silt in the range 212–250, 150–212, 53–106 µm, and the concentration of the silt ranged from 10%–40% by weight. The rotational speed of the pot tester has been varied between 500 and 1,500 revolutions per minute, and the test duration has been kept to 4 h.
Findings
The erosion wear resistance of the uncoated SS-304 has been greatly enhanced by the application of HVOF-sprayed Al2O3–Cr2O3 composite coatings. The addition of CeO2 has a significant impact in reducing the erosive wear caused by silt slurry. The composite coating powder composition of 65%Cr2O3 + 34.5%Al2O3 + 0.5%CeO2 has shown the highest erosion resistance.
Practical implications
The developed coatings have the potential to be used for hydro turbines as subjected to silt slurry conditions.
Originality/value
The erosion wear experiments are conducted comprehensively for coated and uncoated samples and the scanning electron micrographs supports the findings.

Purpose
In a wireless sensor network (WSN), the sensor nodes are distributed in the network, and in general, they are linked through wireless intermediate to assemble physical data. The nodes drop their energy after a specific duration because they are battery-powered, which also reduces network lifetime. In addition, the routing process and cluster head (CH) selection process is the most significant one in WSN. Enhancing network lifetime through balancing path reliability is more challenging in WSN. This paper aims to devise a multihop routing technique with developed IIWEHO technique.
Design/methodology/approach
In this method, WSN nodes are simulated originally, and it is fed to the clustering process. Meanwhile, the CH is selected with low energy-based adaptive clustering model with hierarchy (LEACH) model. After CH selection, multipath routing is performed by developed improved invasive weed-based elephant herd optimization (IIWEHO) algorithm. In addition, the multipath routing is selected based on certain fitness functions like delay, energy, link quality and distance. However, the developed IIWEHO technique is the combination of IIWO method and EHO algorithm.
Findings
The performance of developed optimization method is estimated with different metrics, like distance, energy, delay and throughput and achieved improved performance for the proposed method.
Originality/value
This paper presents an effectual multihop routing method, named IIWEHO technique in WSN. The developed IIWEHO algorithm is newly devised by incorporating EHO and IIWO approaches. The fitness measures, which include intra- and inter-distance, delay, link quality, delay and consumption of energy, are considered in this model. The proposed model simulates the WSN nodes, and CH selection is done by the LEACH protocol. The suitable CH is chosen for transmitting data through base station from the source to destination. Here, the routing system is devised by a developed optimization technique. The selection of multipath routing is carried out using the developed IIWEHO technique. The developed optimization approach selects the multipath depending on various multi-objective functions.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the silt erosion performance of Bare, 75%Cr2O3 + 25%Al2O3 and 85%Cr2O3 + 15Al2O3-coated SS304 under various control parameters such as rotation speed, concentration of silt and particle size of silt used for making slurry. This can provide insight for using chromia and alumina-based coatings for hydro-turbines.
Design/methodology/approach
Taguchi approach was used to identify the effect of three input parameters on the bare and coated alloys. L16 orthogonal array is used for determining the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio for each process parameter. For each level of parameters taken into consideration about the erosion wear, the arithmetic mean of the S/N ratio is calculated. On the essence of the results of S/N ratios, it is possible to determine the effect of the most dominating parameters of the erosion wear.
Findings
Results show that the erosion increases with an increase in silt concentration (Wt.%). It has been analyzed that the rotational speed has the most significant effect followed by the particle size and concentration on erosion wear for all uncoated and coated SS-304 samples. Maximum resistance to erosion is provided by 85%Cr2O3 + 15%Al2O3. The least erosion wear for process parameters has occurred at the optimal parametric combination of rotational speed (N) = 415 rev/min, concentration (C) = 15 Wt.% and particle size range as <53 µm for uncoated and coated stainless steel.
Originality/value
The study clearly shows the silt erosion performance of chromia and alumina coatings of different compositions at different input parameters.

Abstract
Purpose
Research signifies that well-governed companies exhibit long-run financial results and sustainable growth. In the context of SMEs, this paper aims to review the literature on corporate governance, the implementation challenges of corporate governance and its relationship with performance. Entwined with Indian scenarios, the study can be generalized to other emerging economies, with geographic considerations.
Design/methodology/approach
Studies from 1990 to 2020 are included in the literature review. Three databases were used for the extraction of relevant research articles: Scopus, EBSCO and ScienceDirect. To identify the relevant work, keywords along with Boolean operators for literature search were used from the research databases. The selected articles were further refined based on the authors’ keywords, journal type, data analysis methodologies and abstract analysis. Finally, 115 articles were selected and categorized into themes based on inclusion criteria for further study.
Findings
Corporate governance provides tangible and intangible benefits to SMEs. The study emphasizes on designing a cost-effective discrete governance mechanism for SMEs than the prevailing corporate governance code for large firms. Furthermore, implementing the corporate governance structure with a great level of discipline and stability is equally essential and related to performance.
Originality/value
Listing of SMEs is a relatively new phenomenon in emerging economies, including India. With listing, corporate governance and financial performance are expected to shift. The inclusion of the changing landscape of SME governance makes this study unique and relevant in the current scenario. The study will benefit the policymakers and firms to adopt optimum governance practices and link it optimally with performance.
